site usability

Many people design and build sites without ever observing how real live human beings use web sites.

I am an exception to this rule. After working with my clients to understand what they need their site to do, I make a paper prototype and test the design on real humans.

I run a simple, but highly effective, study to see how real humans use the paper prototype web site. Then I take my observations and adjust the design to make it more user friendly.

By running a short study, I can keep my clients from wasting a lot of money on a site only to discover that it does not work. The return on investment for the time spent studying the sites usability usually proves to be well worth the additional small expense.
