One thing is always the same in my business; every client is different. As we work on web sites together, I work to understand how best I can help my clients reach their goals online. I ask a lot of questions about their business and try to get to know them personally. By taking the time to listen, I usually understand my clients' needs, wants, and what they can afford; before we start building their site.
Because of this, not all of my clients' sites are my own designs. Some clients have paid others to design a sight that did not work well and have asked me to fix it. Others I have worked with and taught how to maintain their own site.
I help clients with content problems and marketing. I enjoy starting fresh with a new design because this gives me the ability to build upon my web marketing experience.
Since I am constantly working with my clients to improve their sites, understand their changing needs, and get feedback on the results my work brings, all the sites below are works in progress. These following sites best illustrate how I work with my clients.
Meadow Creek Ranch

The Wilcoxens, owners of Meadow Creek Ranch Bed and Breakfast, asked me to take a look at their web site because it was not generating enough business. Their old site was almost impossible to find on Google, and did not show their beautiful inn at its best. I worked with them to develop a new site and a marketing strategy that fit within their budget . This is my latest from-the-ground-up web design.
Yosemite Peregrine Lodging
http://www.yosemiteperegrine.com
Kay and Don Pitts were having problems with their hosting company and web designer. Their site was suffering from a lack of maintenance as well. One day, while I was searching Google for bed and breakfast inns in Yosemite, doing research for a site I am developing, I discovered that, according to the Google result, they were "out of business."
I was surprised that their site was up and didn't indicate that they were out of business. I called and confirmed my suspicion. Their web site had been hacked -- changes were made without their knowledge or permission.
Kay and I got to work quickly to resolve the problems. We moved the site to a new secure and reliable hosting company, cleaned up all the pages, and made much overdue changes. I built the site from the remains of the prior site using a custom template to unify the look of the site and enable easier and more cost effective updates. I cleaned out a lot of dysfunctional coding and simplified the presentation of their offerings, all while staying within their budget.
Doc's Auto Clinic
http://www.docs-auto.com
Doc has a lifetime of knowledge about vintage Datsun cars. Back in 2004, we set out to get his knowledge out of his head and on-line working for him. We set up an informational site that shares his numerous how-to tech articles he has written for ZONC (Z-Car owners of Northern California). We also set up a paid tech support line for shade-tree mechanics and professionals to get over-the-phone help from Doc. The site is currently undergoing a redesign for better results on Google, easier maintenance, and a more modern look. The original site served him well, and he has established customer relationships with Datsun enthusiasts all over the US with the help of his highly informative site and tech support line.
